1 (16 oz) pkg mixed dried beans

1 clove garlic

6 c. water

1 (10 oz) can Rotel Tomatoes, diced

1 tsp. sugar

1 (14 0z) can stewed tomatoes

1 lb. ham, chopped
1 T. salt
1 lg. onion

juice of one lemon``

Soak beans overnight.  Drain and add water, sugar, ham and salt.  Cook slowly (simmer) for two hours.  Add onion, garlic, tomatoes, and lemon juice. 
Simmer 1 1/2 hours or more.
